Member Introductions!

Come on in and introduce yourself! I'll start.

I'm AnGella, I started this network after we lost the use of Skem9.com. I had so much fun there learning how to do this stuff and seeing all the work other people made that I wanted to keep posting with others. I had started my own site to offer my design services but it was no fun posting alone. So here we are!

I'm pretty easy going. I'm modest. I'm an artaholic. I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My Senior year in High School was all art classes except for one required class... Econ. I wanted to go to MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design) but didn't have the money post graduation. Then I guess I fell into the trap of believing I could never make a living with my art. Ok, I'm still not making any money on my art... but maybe one day. I really only got back into creating it in the past year.

I went to college when I was 25. I was able to apply for loans and grants at that time. I put art on the back burner and went for a degree in Anthropology with an emphasis in Forensics. (Death Investigation) I love it as much as art but just can't picture myself around dead people all day every day. I'd much rather make art even if it doesn't pay as well. There's that modesty... I don't need much in the way of possessions. Happiness is much more valuable to me.

I'm glad you like what I have done with the place Moppy. :) No need to apologize. After everything the Skemmers have been through in the past year I understand.

I am new to Ning but loving it also and have started a network on here of my own too...tho nothing to do with layouts LOL...not too good at talking about myself so if you want to know anything else just ask!!

Hello, my name is Rick and I am new to this site and really have a lot to learn. Mostly I have been making tags and messing around with graphics on PSP for the last year or so and am interested in learning how to make my own layouts and such. I am a quadriplegic since 1989 due to a motor vehicle accident so I use a voice-activated system to do most of the stuff on the computer. It limits me to what I can and can't do, but I do the best I can with what I have. I use to ride bikes and do custom bodywork and paint for a living so now I am trying to be creative in different ways. I hope to get to know some of you or perhaps a lot of you, so stop by and leave a message and we will take it from there cool cool?? Here is one of the tags I made if you have a request I would be happy to try my best.

I adore your work! I'm just learning what I can do with my PSP but certainly love every minute of it. Great to have you and I thank you for sharing your tags! :) Maybe you can even teach me. I love how you fade things into each other.

Wow ur story has a few parallel's 2 mine. I stumbled on this network cuz I am a member of other adult Ning sites and was tryna pimp my profile out. I own my own domain but was practicing what I wanna do with it thru other social networks. I have a degree as Computer System Specialist n decades of experience providing technical support but I became disabled and can no longer continue in that line of work. I have Fibromyalgia and deal with chronic pain and fatigue 24/7/365. When I went 2 school the first time around 30 years ago I was a Fashion Design major but soon found I my personality wasn't cutthroat enuf. So I put my art side down and pursued more stable means of income 4 fear of that "starving artist" label. Recently I decided 2 go back 2 school (International Academy of Design and Technology) becuz tho my body was failing me, my mind is fine and a mind is terrible thing 2 waste. Initially I was a Computer Forensics major cuz I love problem solving but that turned out 2 be a disaster becuz the commute was so grueling on me. I transferred to the online program but they didn't offer Forensics in the online program. So I had to make a decision where I wanted 2 from there and still be able 2 bring the vast knowlege I gained on computers over the years. I picked Web Development as it seemed there would be more opportunity 2 work from home plus I had gained so much popularity with my videos on YouTube (In March 09 I was #24 most subscribed guru), that I decided to go on ahead and pursue that. I have 3 featured videos and I was invited into their revenue sharing program. That was a good indicator that I was headed in the right direction. Not making a lot of money now but like u happiness is much more valuable 2 me.

The main thing I wanna ask is that who do I get permission from 2 use the Valentine's layout 2 pimp my page on Ning? I tried to send a message to the creator (i think) and its a dead link. So what do i do?
