You do sparkles basically the same as glitter, in layers.

First off, make sure you are totally finished with the image evens to adding your sig or watermark...

then duplicate the image at least three times.

Then resize your sparkles to whatever sizes you want and sprinkle them around on the three images in different locations.

When it is animated each of the three images should have sparkles in different spaces.

Then I animate with Animation Shop, The Wizard, but you can do it with MyTheme too.

I set my times to 20-25 between frames...that is just something you have to play with.

If you don't know how to animate an image let me know.

All of the sparkles below resize easily, I saved them as png format.

You can also take the white one and tint it any color you want.

You can kinda look at the screen shot below and tell how I just sprinkled em everywhere

Don't know why I did 5 frames - I think my black glitter wasn't cooperating with me and I added two more to spice it up a little. It's really just a matter of playing with it until it looks like you want it too. This is what it looks like animated. Yell if I have totally lost you.

Anyone know how to do animation sparkles in Photoshop? I tried searching for tuts on it, but I found none that worked for me. A couple were for another version I don't have :(

I think it would be the same concept. Add the sparkles to the images then add them to the animator. What do you use to animate?

It would be the same. Just add the sparkles and take the images to Animation Shop or whatever you use and animate them.

i tried making sparkles...used PSP and Animation Shop and Followed Barbs instructions LOL...not sure why it added a white BG tho grrrrr LOL

For some reason that I've not figured out yet, Animation Shop will add the white background to transparent images. Sure there is a setting to correct that, just haven't ever tried hard enough to find it. I just pick images to animate that I know will animate well.

Alpana, it has been a while since I played with animation, but I will go through my stuff tonight and see if it is still working like it used to. I have taken a break for a couple of years so I don't know if the programs I use are still around. I'm sure there's something better out there. I am working night shift tonight, so when things slow down I will give it a look and post back. In the meanwhile, Angela probably is more up to date with the programs for animation. I use Jasc Animation Shop 3 to animate. I just googled it and Animation shop 3 is still available for free download and there is a newer version.....which I have not used: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Animation-Shop-Download-2929....

Hope this helps and I will take a look later tonight. I'm sure that I have a tut posted here somewhere showing how to animate.

Alpana this is the original link to this tut - I did it originally on glitter/sparkles. If you read the instructions for Animation Shop in the glitter instructions - the sparkles will work the same way. The more different frames you make of the same image, the better the animation will look.

Thank you Barbara for your kind response...would be helpful to learn your animation tuts...
Will have to try doing the glitter and sparkles tuts you gave earlier.Sometimes I fail to get the desired result.
