Ning Classic or Ning Design Studio?

I would love input from the users about the two.

Do you want one code to rule them all?

There is a way I can do it, it just involves change.

Also, been thinking of switching to the new design studio so please tell me all about your experiences with it and if you prefer one or the other.

The CSS from our Generators should cover both Design Studio and Classic. All you have to do is set it to the NerdCore theme on the Design Studio.

I think I just tried new coding for design studio...I have to say I think I will stick with classic so the codes actually work :P

Mops I just sent you the answer to your problems at S9....sorry thought you had used the top nav before...just a couple of adjustments to top image height you need to make. Sorry so late getting back to you...lol...have been indisposed tonight:}

Ang I sent her the newest code I just forgot to tell her about the height adjustments to the top image and the negative adjustment to the nav bar section....I sent her a message telling her how to fix it.

I don't have any converter generators, but the generators do currently have a code that works on both old and new ning providing you choose the Nerdcore theme from the design studio.

When I go to customize I click on the Themes tab then choose All.

If you start from the beginning where the Newspress theme is, you will click the arrow on the right 4 times and it is the 4th theme. (right next to the arrow you clicked)

After tinkering on a DS site I realized you can also use the Newspress theme. I checked it out after I noticed I had that theme listed in the directions on the Generator. I also updated the generator code to remove a blue line that was below the Ningbar with the Newspress theme. So it looks like the code can be used with Newspress or Nerdcore. :)

I actually had to add a lot more code to it in order to make it work like the classic code we used. Reason being that what ever theme is chosen by the site can override certain areas of the code unless directed not to. Are you on any sites that use the design studio? If not, I was a member here before they changed to the Design Studio...

So I have checked my codes there using the Newspress and Nerdcore themes. Even these secondary themes will bleed through the coding so I had to add extra lines of code to override their settings. I hope that made some sense... it's late. lol
