WP may be the only site after Ning forces 3.0. I just don't see anything in 3.0 yet that would convince me that it is any better than Wordpress with Buddypress. That's not my final decision, but I am preparing for it. Ning is very expensive in comparison and no where near as easy for me to customize. Not to mention how difficult it is to keep both sites up with my changing family. Ning is just not capable of the content management that we need and that makes Wordpress much more important.

What is your thought about it?

How much longer till we have out big change?

I think we still have almost a year. May 2014 would be the earliest.

will you tell me what are these codes used for?

}
.xg_lightfont {
color:#fff;
text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #000;

}

lightborder seems to be the border between comments and lightfont is the small font for the dates in comments and the number of members in groups, etc...

Sorry to hear that you hate it. Have you played around on Ning 3.0 yet?

Connie, if you could tell me what we have here that you are missing over @ Wordpress I will see if I can hook it up for you. I really like it much better than 3.0 so far so I am curious what features you miss.

Sorry it took me a while to respond. I had to go look over @ Creators and see if there was any news.

Bad News:
Ning hasn't budged on the CSS customizations or other personal page design options.

Good News:
Sweet Potato's tip for adding a music player has inspired me to a jquery work around very much like I used for the Wordpress profiles.

Once I have adapted this to work with my jQuery for profile design I will share it as well.
